Charles Sutherland defended his nation for 32 years while serving in the United States Air Force and retired in 2006 as a Lt Colonel. During that brief time he was blessed to prove himself as one of the all-time best B-52 instructor pilots--transferring his considerable skills into scores of other pilots, who have followed him to become respected defenders of America themselves.
As a course director at the Air Command and Staff College, he taught hundreds of field-grade officers the art of war. Later, as the deputy commander for the Air Force Doctrine Center’s Detachment 1, he laid the doctrinal foundation for 21st century American warfare with his writings in myriad Air Force and joint doctrine documents. After his retirement, he wrote the intriguing “The Universal Formula for Successful Deterrence” in an attempt to help humanity find an end to war as we know it.
While stationed in Korea as a young man, he earned a black belt in martial arts. He used those skills to establish a charity martial arts school in California. It was there that he mentored many young people via his physical, mental, and spiritual instruction.
Since coming to Christ in 1976, he was fascinated with the lessons in the Bible. For the last three decades at dispersed locations, he merged his gift of teaching with his biblical expertise to enlighten children and adults concerning the Bible. He understands that the Bible is a macro-level doctrine publication, which leaves the micro-level details unexplained. The unique focus of his biblically-based historical fantasies push those micro-details to the extreme without contradicting the inerrancy of the Bible.
Colonel Charles Sutherland has a graduate degree in history from the University of Alabama and is a devoted husband, father of three daughters, and grandfather of three boys. For the sake of his grandchildren and yours, he seeks lasting peace for the entire world.
